1999 Time Magazine Person of the Century
The Most Important People of the Century is really a compilation of the 20th century’s 100 most influential people, published in Time magazine in 1999. The concept for this type of list started out on February 1, 1998, using a debate at a symposium on the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
The ultimate list was published on June 14, 1999, in the particular concern titled “TIME 100: Heroes & Icons of the 20th Century“. In a separate situation on December 31, 1999, Time recognized Albert Einstein as the Person of the Century. With Mohandas K. Gandhi and Franklin D. Roosevelt as Runners-Up
