2011 Rugby World Cup Tickets
The remaining tickets for that Rugby World Cup group phases have gone on sale, but organisers aren’t yet disclosing just how properly sales had gone.
Tickets went on sale at 9am on the official tournament website, but Rugby World Cup 2011 spokesman Mike Jaspers wouldn’t disclose how many tickets had been sold this early morning.
Last week organisers explained 900,000 tickets – really worth $200 million – had been sold for the tournament, two-thirds with the target in ticket numbers, and three-quarters of the target revenue.
Nearly 700,000 tickets continue being to the event, which starts September 9. Tickets to your knockout matches will go on sale tomorrow, also from 9am about the tournament site.
