Albert Pujols Injury
St. Louis Cardinals 1st baseman Albert Pujols will probably be out for 4-6 weeks with a fractured left forearm. Pujols was injured on Sunday when he collided with Wilson Betemit with the Kansas City Royals, whilst attempting to tag Betemit out at first base.
The team declared the results of an MRI and CT scan Monday, each day following Pujols was injured. The team mentioned Pujols has a non-displaced fracture of his left radius and his arm is within a splint. The team says his left shoulder was sore, but no structural injury was discovered.
The injuries will probably maintain Albert Pujols out of the All-Star game. If that is the circumstance, there’s a good possibility the Joey Votto will start the All-Star game to start with base for the National League.
