AMAZON (AMZN) Earnings for First Quarter 2011
Jeff Bezos and friends have delivered the Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) 1st quarter earnings figures for 2011. The on-line mega-store and order taker appears to be a very soft figure and 1 that’s puzzling whenever you consider what transpired inside the after-hours session initially.
The official figure getting used is $0.44 EPS, a mile short in the Thomson Reuters estimate of $0.61 EPS. Product sales rose by 38% to $9.86 billion, but that would have already been a 36% obtain if it ended up not for that favorable impact of currencies.
