Amazon Kindle Library Lending Rolls Out

Amazon has just launched Kindle Library Lending, a fresh initiative that may enable Kindle owners to “check out” e-books from library sites. It’s a quite cool feature. Customers will log onto the web site of a participating library, search for any book, and if an e-book version is available, a “Send to Kindle” selection will be active. When customers decide on that, they will need to have to enter a valid library card quantity, and then the transaction is going to be completed through Amazon’s servers. All of this happens at no charge for the end user.

You can find an astounding 11,000 participating libraries, meaning pretty much if you have a library card, you are able to benefit from the plan. Libraries every single set their own “loan” occasions, but right after the digital book’s “due date,” it’ll grow to be inactive unless of course the user decides to examine it out again. And not like traditional library books, the Kindle lending system encourages customers to take notes while reading.
