The house created well-known through the 1979 movie “The Amityville Horror” is available. For $1.15 million, you could personal the five-bedroom Dutch Colonial in Suffolk County, N.Y., where six members of the real-life DeFeo family had been shot and killed by one more household member in 1974.
The Lutz family moved into your house a year later and lived there for much less than a month, moving out in fear of the paranormal activity dramatized in the film and inside the Jay Anson book on which it is dependent. The house has because been remodeled and its address changed to discourage gawkers.
