Beale Street Music Festival 2011

The Beale Street Music Festival 2011 lineup was just announced, and it’s heading to get one particular heck of a celebration! The 35th annual Beale Street Music Festival is scheduled for April 29th – May 1st, 2011.

Headliners for this year’s Beale Street Music Festival consist of John Mellencamp, Ludacris, Stone Temple Pilots, Flaming Lips, and Godsmack. There’ll be more than sixty performers over the program of your weekend.

Besides Beale Street Music Festival, there is any event in Memphis in May?

• The Beale Street Music Festival
• International Week, this is a group of events dedicated to the country that is sponsored that year (it will be Belgium this year)
• The World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, one of the most popular barbecue contests in the country, and I would go to Memphis in May for this part of the festival alone!
• Sunset Symphony, a night of classical music. This event has been taking place for 35 years.
