Bill Cosbi is’t Dead
Comic Bill Cosby used microblogging web site Twitter Monday to let his fans know he was nonetheless alive right after rumors he was dead swept the internet.
As of Monday afternoon, “Bill Cosby died” was the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter, and “Bill Cosby dead” was the No. 1 “hot topic” on Google Trends, which tracks terms entered into the search engine.
But shortly before 4:00pm ET, Cosby wrote: “Again, I’m rebuttaling [sic] rumors about my demise.”
Cosby was at the center of an additional death rumor in February, prompting him to tweet: “As you well know, a dead person cannot rebuttal. Therefore, I am rebuttaling to tell you that when I heard the news I immediately began rebuttaling and went into denial”
He acknowledged that “rebuttal” was not used like a verb — but additional: “I don’t care, because I’m alive!”
