CarMax Foundation gives $125,000 to youth efforts

The CarMax Foundation has awarded $125,000 to Richmond area nonprofit organizations for programs that focus on education and youth leadership.

Recipients include:

  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond: $25,000
  • Family Lifeline: $15,000
  • Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden: $15,000
  • FeedMore: $11,000
  • Communities in Schools: $10,000
  • Henrico Police Athletic League: $8,000
  • Comfort Zone Camp: $6,000
  • Full Circle Grief Center: $6,000
  • Greater Richmond Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN): $5,000
  • YMCA of Greater Richmond: $5,000
  • Children’s Museum of Richmond: $4,000
  • Junior Achievement of Central Virginia: $15,000
