Casey Anthony released from jail

Casey Anthony was freed from the Florida jail early Sunday, 12 days after she was acquitted of murder while in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony in a very verdict that drew furious responses as well as threats from people across the U.S. who had followed the case with rapt focus.

Anthony, sporting a pink T-shirt with blue jeans, left the jail at 12:14 a.m. local time (0414 GMT) with her lawyer, Jose Baez. Following 3 years behind bars, Anthony was given $537.68 in money from her jail account and escorted outside by two sheriff’s deputies armed with semi-automatic rifles. Neither Anthony nor Baez mentioned anything at all to reporters and protesters gathered outside.

Right after acquiring death threats, George Anthony and Cindy Anthony are in hiding, WFTV-Channel 9 documented tonight.

The dad and mom of Casey Anthony have been the very first to leave the courtroom right after Anthony was acquitted of first-degree murder today, anchor Martie Salt mentioned. WFTV provided footage of the Anthonys leaving quickly with their lawyer, Mark Lippman, following hearing the verdict.

Inside the statement, the family members stated it had closure and would rebuild their lives, but described Casey’s statements versus George as baseless. The family known as the verdict fair and stated the they wished to move ahead privately.
