CD101’s “Andyman” Dead
WWCD-FM Columbus, OH reports that Program Director and afternoon drive DJ Andy Davis, recognized as “Andyman,” drown Saturday (7/17) while vacationing with his wife and 3 sons in Michigan. He had been using the station, locally owned by Enjoyment With Radio LLC, since 1991.
Andyman joined the staff from the Alternative Rocker like a DJ just a couple of months after its launch. He became PD in 1998. He had been recognized in the market for his annual “Andyman-a-thon,” broadcasting for 48 hours straight to raise cash for charity.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
