Chaz Bono : from Woman to a Man
Chaz Bono is opening up about his tough journey of physically transitioning from a woman to a man — confessing he remembers almost nothing at all from his childhood.
Last year, Chaz Bono was legally granted a name and gender change, and now the 42-year-old is opening up on what he calls the “slow process” toward residing his genuine identity and revealing it to the world.
Figuring out that since the child of Cher as well as the late Sonny Bono he did not precisely have a very ton of privacy, Chaz opted to become upfront about his transition from female to male, he advised Oprah Winfrey on her show Monday.
The Oprah Winfrey Show airs in the Portland metro area Monday at 4 p.m. on KGW Channel 8. The documentary Turning into Chaz airs tomorrow, May 10, at 9 p.m. on Winfrey’s new Own network.
