The Cherry Creek School District Board of Education is set to think about a wide-ranging review of your district’s nutrition policy in the course of its standard meeting Monday.

Cherry Creek Assistant Superintendent Scott Siegfried is scheduled to provide the distinctive report on food and nutrition during the Jan. 10 meeting. The presentation arrives less than per month right after President Barack Obama signed the “Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010” into law. The federal legislation is created to extend accessibility to healthful foods for low-income kids, authorizing $4.5 billion in new funding for nutrition packages.

Monday’s meeting can also be set to consist of a presentation by Assistant Superintendant Eric Flor regarding Contemplating Maps, a fresh instructional device for teachers inside the district.

The meeting is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Cottonwood Creek Elementary School, 11200 E. Orchard Ave. in Englewood.
