Colton Tooley – UT Shooting Suspect
The suspected gunman in today’s shooting on the University of Texas was mathematics sophomore Colton Tooley. Police say Tooley, 19, acted alone.
Tooley didn’t seek out mental wellness companies at UT. Police these days eliminated a personal computer from the South Austin residence through which he apparently lived and are continuing their investigation there.
Tooley was an alumnus of Crockett High School in Austin.
The student, who was recognized as Colton Tooley had run via the campus wearing a ski mask and brandishing a loaded AK-47, which he fired in the path of people who came across him. Luckily, he was not able to hit anyone in the course of the incident.
One witness said that college students heard bursts of gunfire and were walking across the campus puzzled, and in awe. It will be fascinating to find out what the motivation behind the attack was.
