Crystal Bowersox-People Get Ready VIDEO
Crystal Bowersox lengthened her lead over the other American Idol contestants Tuesday night with her potent rendition of “People Get Ready.”
Alicia Keys was the mentor and inspiration was the theme this week, in honor of Idol Offers Back again. Bowersox shipped a rousing performance of Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready” that could go down as one of the all-time fantastic performances with the show.
Bowersox forgo her normal instrumental accompaniment and sang behind a mic, starting off a capella and until the band kicked in, her gospel and blues-tinged vocals soaring. She ended the performance in tears, her voice cracking.
