Dan Resin Died At 79
Dan Resin was a stage and screen actor finest known for his role because the Ty-D-Bol man in Television commercials for the toilet bowl cleaner died Saturday at the age of 79, according to the AP. His daughter reported that he passed away from complications with Parkinson’s disease.
Resin also played Dr. Beeper, the snobbish physician and country club member inside the classic comedy film “Caddyshack.”
He was a resident of Secaucus, N.J., for almost 50 years just before moving to Wayne four years ago.
As the Ty-D-Bol man, Resin wore a captain’s uniform and sailed off in the motorboat across the sparkling blue waters of the toilet tank right after his item pitch: “Helps clean and deodorize your bowl automatically every time you flush.”
