Impressionist-comedian David Frye, who built a career of pretending to be an individual else, specifically Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson along with other prominent political figures vaulted him to recognition within the 1960s and 1970s, has died in Las Vegas, officials mentioned.

Frye, 77, died from cardiopulmonary arrest Monday in Las Vegas, in which he lived, The New York Times noted. His death was confirmed by the Clark County coroner’s workplace.

Frye acquired his begin in New York’s Greenwich Village inside the early 1960s, at first aping the voices and sometimes quirky movements of well-known actors. But his career moved ahead swiftly following he started impersonating President John F. Kennedy.
