Dell Financial Services To Buy Secureworks Inc.
An agreement has been made by Dell to purchase the information technology security firm, SecureWorks. This newest acquisition is another opportunity for the US computer giant to diversify away from what it is best known for, just the world of PCs and hardware. SecureWorks Inc. is a ‘security-as-a-service’ solutions provider that offers its customers managed-security services, risk consulting services, and also threat intelligence.
It is predicted that Dell’s worldwide scale and relationships with clients will provide a tremendous opportunity to rapidly expand the SecureWorks’ business. At the present, SecureWorks has about 700 employees and its projected 2010 revenue is forecasted to be more than 120 million dollars.
