Diverticulitis Won’t Stop Brock Lesnar
Wednesday, former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar invested 14 hrs on the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
Lesnar, who defied odds and bounced back following he was stricken with diverticulitis in 2009, hadn’t been feeling himself for that previous couple of months, and he realized deep down that a thing wasn’t right again.
The former NCAA champion realized what the signs or symptoms surrounding diverticulitis had been because he had dealt with them just before, but because that time he had fully changed his diet and lifestyle to avoid it from taking place once again.
What is Diverticulitis?
According to MayoClinic, Diverticulitis occurs when one or more diverticula in your digestive tract become inflamed or infected. Diverticula are small, bulging pouches that can form anywhere in your digestive system, including your esophagus, stomach and small intestine. However, they’re most commonly found in the large intestine.
Common signs and symptoms of diverticulitis include:
- Pain that’s often sudden, severe, and located in the lower left side of the abdomen. Less commonly, abdominal pain may be mild at first, and become worse over several days, possibly fluctuating in intensity
- Change in bowel habits
- Abdominal tenderness
- Fever
- Nausea and vomiting
- Constipation
- Diarrhea
