Elias Abuelazam ARRESTED
Suspected serial stabber Elias Abuelazam is under arrest. He was arrested whilst attempting to board a Delta flight headed for Tel Aviv in the Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport based on Customs and Border Protection.
Abuelazam, an Israeli-Arab, is believed being behind at least 18 knife attacks in Michigan, with 5 dead from the stabbings.
The suspect is originally through the Israeli city of Ramle, although he is living legally inside the United States. The Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz reports that a single Ramle resident mentioned Abuelazam left Israel at age 19 or 20 right after finishing high school. An additional resident stated Abuelazam was orphaned by his father at a young age. The resident added that Abuelazam was allegedly included with criminals and had a violent streak, which led his mother to send him abroad.
Even though the vast majority of the stabbings were black males, no statement continues to be issued as to whether the stabbings have been racially motivated.
