The Hallmark Channel resuscitates the ’80s/’90s comedy — about a physician whose two grown daughters transfer home — that has a Feb. 26 marathon. The Golden Girls spinoff which chronicled the lives of a physician whose grown-up daughters came home to roost ran from 1988 – 1995. Former teen star Kristy McNichol played center daughter Barbara, an undercover police officer by day and troublesome daughter by evening.
What happened to former teen star Kristy McNichol? At the time, McNichol was turning into notorious for bad attendance and erratic conduct around the set of the show and a number of movies and she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and retired from acting completely.
