Federal Government and Public Schools Closings
A freezing rain Monday night time left Washington-area roads with dangerous, icy conditions Tuesday, delaying the opening with the federal government, closing numerous school systems and delaying the opening of other folks.
Federal agencies from the D.C. location planned to open under a two-hour delayed arrival policy. Staff had the choice for unscheduled depart or unscheduled telework.
School programs closed included:

- Fairfax County
- City of Alexandria
- Prince William County
- Loudoun County
