Fisher Price Recall 2010
Much more than 10 million children’s toys have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation using the toys’ manufacturer Fisher Price, the CPSC introduced today.
The toy giant has recalled toys — which includes tricycles and play places — citing prospective dangers from falling onto particular protruding elements and choking hazards from little parts.
The recall is the largest for toys because Congress passed a law two years in the past beefing up the product-safety regulator’s powers. Mattel and Fisher-Price have been fined $2.3 million in June 2009 for toys violating federal lead-paint laws, in the time the most important civil high-quality in CPSC historical past.
Here’s the list of products being recalled in the U.S.:
- About 7 million Fisher Price Trikes and Tough Trikes toddler tricycles
- About 950,000 Healthy Care, Easy Clean and Close to Me High Chairs
- About 100,000 Fisher-Price Little People Wheelies Stand ‘n Play Rampway
- About 2.8 million Baby Playzone Crawl & Cruise Playground, Baby Playzone Crawl & Slide Arcade, Baby Gymnastics Play Wall, Ocean Wonders Kick & Crawl Aquarium (C3068 and H8094), 1-2-3 Tetherball, Bat & Score Goal.
