Gap New Logo
Gap (GPS) is reinstating its familiar blue box logo, just a single week after unveiling a brand new logo to fantastic fanfare.
The newest logo showed the phrase “Gap” on a white background having a tiny blue box jutting out of it. Clients and market gamers reacted with virtually universal contempt.
Gap insisted the newest logo was a “a more contemporary, modern expression.”
Now, Gap is scrapping the modern and going again towards the tried and tested.
“All roads were leading us back to the blue box, so we’ve made the decision not to use the new logo on gap.com any further, ” Gap mentioned inside a assertion.
The clothes retailer aggravated hostility to the brand new logo when it asked the public to recommend new designs.
The only problem was the business gave no guarantee it might pay for any ideas it liked.
“We are clear that we did not go about this in the right way,” Gap stated. “This wasn’t the right project at the right time for crowd sourcing”
