Geraldine Ferraro past away today at age seventy five following 13 years battling blood cancer. She was most widely known for breaking the glass ceiling in presidential politics following becoming picked for a vice presidential running mate in 1984 by Walter Mondale.
Ferraro is much more recently remembered in presenting her thoughts and commentary on Sarah Palin right after she was selected to get John McCain’s working mate.
Geraldine Ferraro also campaigned for Senator Hillary Clinton in her bid versus then Senator Barrack Obama in 2008.
What is Blood Cancer?
According to YGOY, Blood cancer is a generalized term for malignancy which attacks the blood, bone marrow, or lymphatic system. There are three kinds of blood cancer: leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
Leukemia is malignancy of cells in the blood. Lymphoma refers to malignant tumors of the lymph system. Myeloma is malignancy of plasma cells. Plasma cells are the cells in bone marrow that produce antibodies. Collectively they are called Hematological malignancies.
