Government Shutdown Looming Effects on Workers
The Obama administration started telling the vast federal workforce Thursday which workers will be necessary to report throughout a federal government shutdown and which should stay home.
With the prospect of a shutdown Saturday looming, and most workers pondering what to accomplish, John Berry, director with the Office of Personnel Management, stated that “everyone really should know their status by close of business” Thursday, except for a relatively tiny amount, like individuals posted overseas.
The move came as the government continued to reveal which federal agencies and entities would not be open inside the celebration of a shutdown, and what the overall affect could be.
