Groundhog Day 2011
Punxsutawney Phil will peek his head from the ground this Wednesday for Groundhog Day 2011. This year, Phil is in very good company. He’s joined by a handful of other four-legged prognosticators, like 1 that is stuffed.
Just just like the movie Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray, the day remains a very huge, festive celebration for the town’s natives. It is also a festive celebration for guests. Even though we have been there, we frequently stopped by the Groundhog Zoo (yes, there is a complete zoo committed for the groundhog), and took photographs with the Town Square together with the larger than lifestyle statue with the groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil.
Groundhog Sammi III died final year, but handlers haven’t been able to tame a replacement yet. That indicates an additional groundhog’s preserved body will probably be employed in the ceremony.
