H.R. 5741 : Slave Labor?
Congressman Charlie Rangle (D) New York who is also below investigation for ethics violations has released H.R. 5741. The bill would need all citizens from the United States in between the ages of 18 and 42 to serve 2 years wherever there is a need for service. It may be military, homeland security, or civilian service. Correct now with unemployment so substantial folks are trying to get these kinds of work in federal government but they can’t. So the question here is why would they force someone to accomplish a job which they wouldn’t hire them for? It wouldn’t make much sense. There are lots of applicants for these jobs so why not just give them a work?
The bill is still in committee and being debated inside the House Committee on Armed Services. It may be voted on soon but hopefully not likely. A equivalent bill was launched not too extended ago called H.R. 1444 which would have created a “Congressional Commission on Civil Service” which President Obama had asked for. Again, with so many individuals out of work why is there a need for such a bill? Just give the people who apply a work. Is there harm in that? What can be the point of this bill?
Could it be that the Congressman thinks govt won’t be able to pay anybody simply because they have spent each last dime for years to appear? Could it be they assume to create less tax income right after sending all of the work to other nations? Could it be which they strategy to start war with Iran? All of they are questions that must be answered. How did this sort of a bill even make it to debate?
