Paul Ambrose, an Australian athlete has won the Ford ironman Louisville competition. He completed the endurance race in 8:29:59 in what was his initial Ironman victory of his profession. He was not the first person out from the swimming portion of the race, but created up for his slow swimming time with an incredible time for the bike. Right after finishing the biking portion of the race in 13:50, he then went on to win following also performing well in the marathon part of the competition.

The event began at Waterfront Park. John Flanagan of Hawaii had the fastest time within the swimming part from the race, finishing the 2.4 mile swim in 45:02. He was unable to safe the victory in spite of the reality that he had a commanding lead when he hopped on his bike.

The women’s champion was Nina Kraft of Germany, and climbed out with the water in the 50:12 mark. A variety of athletes had been forced to drop out of the competition because of some minor injuries that they experienced. Organizers have said that all from the injuries suffered had been not severe, but have not released any additional details about who has been harm, and what they may well have accomplished. The competition finishes this afternoon, and road closures are expected all through the location until the last racer crosses the finish line.
