John Gardner Pleads Guilty
John Gardner, the man charged with killing San Diego location teen Chelsea King, plead guilty today in her murder, and that of 14-year-old Amber Dubois in 2009. He is expected to become sentenced to two consecutive existence terms for that murders, and escaped the death penalty by pleading guilty, based on LaJollaLight.com.
He also faces an additional 33 years to life in prison for assaulting a jogger on December 27. He is scheduled for sentencing June 1, and the plea also prohibits him from filing an appeal of his conviction and sentence.
He admitted to attacking, raping, and ultimately killing 17-year-old King, and stated he killed her within an hour from the attack although she was out jogging. He also confessed to raping and stabbing 14-year-old Dubois, who disappeared while walking to school in February 2009.
