Kid Icarus takes flight in Nintendo 3DS demo
Nintendo Co. this week demonstrated a preview demo of Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS handheld.
The preview held Kid Icarus in numerous action sequences, from flying through rock structures to targeting enemies in battle.
The 3D effect was very apparent with Kid Icarus at the forefront. In one sequence laser beams shot out from all around to relay a nice 3D image. Additionally, the targeting cross hair held a large depth away from the player.
The graphics engine held at 30 frames per second. Visuals were detailed and held strong character and environmental detail on par or much better than a realistic title for Wii.
Nintendo in Mar. said it will release the Nintendo 3DS, a handheld which will include 3-D display technology that doesn’t need the use of unique glasses.
The Nintendo 3DS consists of a 3.5-inch widescreen, two internal cameras and one outer camera to facilitate the 3D knowledge.
The 3D effect may be adjusted with a 3D slider for full or zero effect.
The final hardware contains an analog stick, D-pad, face buttons, and triggers.
Nintendo in Might said it expects an increase in Nintendo DS handheld sales by 11 percent to 30 million units.
