Leadville 100 Results
Levi Leipheimer (RadioShack) place his Tour de France fitness to work off road as he won the Leadville 100 in a report time of 6:16:37, finishing a lot more than 12 minutes faster than the previous course report of 6:28:50 set final year by teammate Lance Armstrong.
A pair of mountain bike national champions completed the top three. US marathon national champion Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski (Subaru-Trek) finished second and supplied stiff competition for Leipheimer. Todd Wells (Specialized), the US cross country national champion, completed third.
