Lipitor Recall Grows by 19,000 Bottles
The Lipitor recall continues with Pfizer’s recall of 19,000 more bottles of the common cholesterol drug. A musty scent has led to four recalls, totaling 345,000 bottles given that August 2010.
The most recent recall is dated Dec. 17 on Pfizer’s site. The 19,000 bottles symbolize a single good deal of Lipitor. Pfizer says 1 customer complaint spurred recall from the complete good deal.
Pfizer isn’t the only drug company impacted by musty packaging. TBA in storage pallets is blamed for latest recalls of Johnson & Johnson’s Tylenol.
All of the recalled bottles contain Lipitor 40 milligram tablets. The whole lot number with the current recall is 0836050.
