Man kills self after shooting at UT Austin
One particular person is dead from what seems to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the University of Texas at Austin campus, Police Chief Art Acevedo told the Austin American-Statesman newspaper.
Investigators have been searching for another suspect, Acevedo extra.
The witnesses spotted a man in a dark suit firing shots at around 8:15 a.m. neighborhood time.
The newspaper quoted university spokeswoman Rhonda Weldon as saying there was “an armed suspect in the Perry-Casteneda Library.”
Citing university officials, KLBJ radio reported that a gunman had shot himself around the sixth floor from the library building.
College students who live on campus have been being informed to stay indoors.
