New England Patriots release linebacker Adalius Thomas
New England Patriots have released linebacker Adalius Thomas.
The discharge was only a matter of time and shouldn’t come as a shock as Thomas had fallen out of favor with head coach Bill Belichick.
Thomas, who signed a five-year, $35 million offer back in 2007, was a healthful scratch for that Tennessee game last year or so and was also benched to the Carolina game after arriving past due for an 8 a.m. meeting. Four players noted to Gillette Stadium late that morning because of traffic from your snowstorm but Thomas was the only 1 punished.
Thomas, 32, finished his Patriots career with 148 tackles and 14.5 sacks in 39 regular couple of years games.
Thomas will most likely draw interest from the brand new York Jets as he would be reunited with former Baltimore defensive coordinator Rex Ryan. Thomas had several standout couple of years when he played under Ryan.
