New England Patriots have released linebacker Adalius Thomas.
The discharge was only a matter of time and shouldn’t come as a shock as Thomas had fallen out of favor with head coach Bill Belichick.
Thomas, who signed a five-year, $35 million offer back in 2007, was a healthful scratch for that Tennessee game last year or so and was also benched to the Carolina game after arriving past due for an 8 a.m. meeting.
