Novak Djokovic : Wimbledon Champion 2011
Novak Djokovic has won his 1st Wimbledon title.
The 24-year-old defeated the earlier world number 1, Rafael Nadal, in 4 sets, winning, 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3. This can be Djokovic’s 3rd grand slam title, and his second this year. Djokovic won the Australian Open to start off the season, but lost within the semi-finals at Roland Garos in the course of the French Open.
Djokovic’s win breaks Nadal’s 20-win streak at the grass tournament.
