Nun Better Cookies
Has your Girl Scout Cookie supply run out? No worries, The Sisters of the Holy Spirit are baking up their assorted Nun Better Cookies. Even if you do not live near their convent in Cleveland, Ohio you can get your hands on some of their famous cookies by ordering on-line.
I grew up going to Catholic school, but somehow I have not heard of the annually available “Nun Better” cookies until now. Each year orders for these cookies grow exponentially and the Sisters are prepared to bake two tons of cookies!
Apparently the Nun Better Cookie tradition started in the 1980’s when the Cleveland Indians baseball team hit a slump and the Sisters of the Holy Spirit baked them up a few batches on their now-famous cookies. The Sisters’ cookies are now known and enjoyed internationally.
I’m an amateur baker myself and I think the cookies in the picture look delicious. Have you even heard of Nun Better cookies before? If you’ve tried them, what did you think? If you haven’t tried them, will you?
