Mary Fallin first women won the gubernatorial

For the very first time in Oklahoma background, women won the gubernatorial bids in both political parties. Mary Fallin won about 55% from the vote and have been stated the Republican nominee. The other contenders within the race were state Sen. Randy Brogdon of Owasso, who won 35% from the votes, Robert Hubbard of Yukon, and Roger Jackson of Oklahoma Town.

New Mexico’s race for governor also will function two women backed by Democrats and the GOP this year, but only Nebraska and Hawaii have had such races prior to.
