Robert Schimmel DEAD
Sad information for these days, because it has been reported that comedian Robert Schimmel has died inside a Phoenix hospital from injuries he suffered in a vehicle accident according to TMZ. He was 60 years old.
Schimmel, who grew to become well-known for his comedy acts on “The Howard Stern Show” was in a vehicle together with his son, 11 and his daughter, 19, who was driving at the time of the accident when abruptly a collision forward of them pressured her to create an evasion maneuver, which ended up generating the car roll on the facet.
Schimmel was taken towards the hospital have been he was listed in “critical condition” but couldn’t make it in the end. His son ended up unharmed from the incident, and his daughter was also hospitalized, but she is reportedly heading to be OK physically.

Friday:
If you are looking for something unique and different head to the Project Lodge where Asumaya and Julian Lynch will be performing. Asumaya is described as “A single throat and four appendages attempting to multiply themselves like cells. Loops and limbs. Mbira and Bass. A polyrhythmic, mono-member musical entity.” Julian Lynch, meanwhile, has been receiving all sorts of praise recently as noted in yesterday’s Notes On A Scene. Show starts at 7 p.m. Depending on the weather, Snake on the Lake may be happening this evening on the Terrace. It is set to start at 4 p.m. with a line-up that includes Maps & Atlases, Flight, Meteorade, and others.
The Frequency will be hosting a variety show tonight with Venice Gas House Trolley, Isthmians of Comedy, A Love Electric, and more. Starts at 9 p.m. At Club Inferno it’ll be dark beats and trance as Gnomes of Destruction, Dan EFEX, and Elmo take part in Spoil. Starts at 9 p.m. The Come Back In has the brilliant alt-folk duo of Daniel and the Lion at 9:30 p.m.
The High Noon is offering up a night of quirky, but in for face rock with Cribshitter, The Arge, and Droids Attack at 10 p.m. Over at Mickey’s Tavern you can catch Violent Femmes cover band Gimme the Car and Soviet rock act Optometri starting at 10:30 p.m. The Willy Street Pub (a.k.a. The Wisco) gives you a free show with Pony, Loop Retard, and Mose Giganticus. 9 p.m. is the start time. Finally, it is Funky Friday at the Majestic as DJs Vinne Toma and Dr. Funkenstein take to the wheels of steel at 10 p.m.

New release alert! Hometown Sweethearts have some new music for you to take home in disc form at the High Noon. Party starts at 9:30 p.m. At The Frequency it is the combined powers of National Beekeepers Society, Sleeping in the Aviary, and His and Her Vanities at 10 p.m.
For Alchemy it is a night of rollicking bluegrass with Oak Street Ramblers kicking off at 9 p.m. Inferno has a night of dance music with DJs Whiterabbit and Mike Carlson spinning their special brand of magic at 9 p.m. Restaurant Magnus has the world renowned jazz group Kid Jordan Second Line at 9:30 p.m. Maduro provides a soundtrack for your cigar smoke with DJs Real Jaguar, Wes3, and Jeremy Thomas at 10 p.m.
