http://redriverpak.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/pampers-logo.jpgThe United States Consumer Products Safety Commission is looking in to claims of chemical burns and diaper rash caused by the use of specific kinds of Pampers diapers. Some concerned mom and dad are wondering if there may be a Pampers recall in the future.

The diapers which have been on the bottom of the problem (*snicker*) are those that use the “Dry Max” technology and consist of the Cruisers and Swaddlers goods manufactured by Pampers. These Dry Max diapers are supposted to develop a diaper that keeps child dryer with less bluk to the actual diaper.

In an interview with ABC, Pampers spokesperson Bryan McCleary said, “As hundreds of thousands of moms and babies are switching to the new Dry Max, it is clear that they’re coincidentally developing diaper rashes and severe diaper rashes in the very same time.”

In light of the current rash of rashes, mom and dad have formed a Facebook group dedicated to “Pampers bring back the OLD CRUISERS/SWADDLERS“. As of these days, this group has attracted more than 4,500 members with many sharing their stories and experiences with the Dried out Max diapers.

Will Pampers recall the Dried up Max diapers which are creating such a stir? We’ll need to wait and see. Within the meantime, if your infant uses these diapers and is getting a issue using a rash you could wish to take into account attempting one more brand.

My son was born 12/29/09 and I was using the pampers swaddlers. He developed this horribe rash on both sides of his butt cheeks and it almost drew blood. He was only two weeks old and it was horrible. We thought how in the world could he have a rash already when we change him almost every 30 minutes. When i would change him I would notice little clear, gel like balls that would be on his skin. His rash eventually went away after trying several over the counter medicines and what finally did the trick was A&D ointment. This breaks my heart tto know that the rash could have been prevented if I were to change diapers. In the beginning we used the ones where the line would turn green if he urinated but after awhile we no longer could find them so maybe that is when his rash finally went away :o ( These poor innocent babies
