Phil Mickelson Suffering from Psoriatic Arthritis

Phil Mickelson woke up the Sunday prior to the U.S. Open and couldn’t walk.

He began his Tuesday press conference in the PGA Championship using the revelation that he is getting treated for a condition identified as psoriatic arthritis.

“Psoriatic arthritis is where your immune system attacks your joints and tendons,” Mickelson aid of his ailment. “And so I say that because everything is fine now. I’ve been starting treatment and things have been great. It’s very treatable.”

Mickelson stated he went to the Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis following the British Open. After his initial incident 5 days prior to the U.S. Open, he said it only got worse and he knew one thing was incorrect.
