R.I.P. George Blanda 1927-2010
George Blanda, who played skilled football in five different decades and was voted into the Hall of Fame in his 1st year of eligibility, passed away early Monday morning after a brief illness. He was 83.
Blanda’s NFL profession began when the Cleveland Browns have been nevertheless inside the All-America Football Conference, and ended the year prior to the 0-14 Tampa Bay Buccaneers joined the NFL.
