Sal Picinich Dies of Cancer
‘Cake Boss‘ baker Sal Picinich has died at age 63. Crotian-born Picinich handed of cancer, stated his spouse, Lucille. Sal baked for 45 years in Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, N.J., wherever TLC’s reality series is filmed.
Buddy Valastro, the show’s namesake “Cake Boss,” seen Picinich as being a “second father,” stated Carlo’s Bakery publicist Adam Bourcier. Picinich also labored with Valastro’s father.
The fourth time of ‘Cake Boss’ started Jan. 24. Picinich’s appearances on the show dwindled in late 2009, when his battle with cancer began.
A funeral for Sal Picinich is scheduled for Feb. 4 in New Jersey.
