A surfer was killed in a shark attack today although surfing off Surf Beach inside a very very California Air Force Base this morning. Based on authorities the victim just isn’t affiliated using the military base and he was a Santa Barbara Metropolis School student.

No one can clarify precisely why did this shark strike him or what type of shark was it, all that’s clear will be the fact that he was fatally attacked. The authorities might be looking for this shark.

A number of other beaches happen to be closed for 72 hrs, based on Lt. Ann Blodzinski, the public affairs officer for your base since the search for that shark remains. Surf Beach, may possibly be the closest publicly accessible beach for Lompoc Valley residents. It is also accessed from a close by station that serves the region. In September 2008, a shark bit a surfer’s board at Surf Beach and base officials issued a 48-hour warning to beach customers.
