Betty White SNL 2010 : Jay-Z & Mr. Hudson VIDEO
For the latest new episode of Saturday Night Live, fans obtained their wish as the Golden Girl herself, Betty White hosted the show, showing she’s Forever Young. Hip hop fans also obtained a deal with as musical guest Jay-Z was in the home. He carried out a variety of his songs within the initial set including “99 Problems” and “Empire State of Mind” backed through the live band. For his second musical overall performance, Jay-Z enlisted the help of singer Mr. Hudson to carry out “Young Forever” that is off Jay’s most recent album, Blueprint 3.
In case you recognize the song it borrows the chorus from, it is since it played at the prom in the strike comedy “Napoleon Dynamite”. That song is the 1984 hit by the group Alphaville. It’s unknown if Jay drew his inspiration from that cult classic based on Napoleon’s goofy mishaps, but Jigga dedicated tonight’s overall performance to Betty White. Jay often refers to himself as “Young” so he flipped the song name close to to “Young Forever” even though the chorus could be the opposite.

Granite State of Mind
Song parodies are nothing new, but Christian Wisecarver is experiencing newfound attention thanks to his parody of the hit song Empire State of Mind, a collaboration between artists Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.
Wisecarver, a graduate of Timberlane High School, posted Granite State of Mind on YouTube on Wednesday. The lyrics to the parody infuse different aspects of New Hampshire, just as the original does with parts of New York.
The video is four minutes, 43 seconds long — the exact same length as the original Jay-Z video. It had already garnered nearly 200,000 hits, as of early Friday morning.

Tribute for Michael Jackson
While P. Diddy, The Game, Usher, Chris Brown, Mario Winans and Boyz II Men recorded Michael Jackson tribute song, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z choose to remember the late singer on-stage when 2009 BET Awards is kicked off on June 28. Joining them to pay tribute to Michael at the event are other performers which include Ne-Yo and The-Dream.
Beyonce and the other BET musical acts actually have rehearsed their songs for weeks, but they are willing to change the numbers in a bid to honor Michael. “To change it up in three days is something that’s not easy but they’re all willing and looking forward to it,” the awards’ producer Stephen Hill told Associated Press. “There’s a direct line from Ne-Yo to Michael Jackson. There’s a direct line from Beyonce to Michael Jackson. There’s a direct line from Jay-Z to Michael Jackson. I think they’ll want to pay tribute in their own way.”
