The warrior Thor (Hemsworth) is cast out from the wonderful realm of Asgard by his father Odin (Hopkins) for his arrogance and sent to Earth to live amongst humans. Falling in love with scientist Jane Foster (Portman) teaches Thor much-needed lessons, and his new-found strength comes into play as a villain from his homeland sends dark forces toward Earth.
The epic adventure Thor spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the mystical realm of Asgard. On the center of the story will be the Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Therefore, Thor is banished to Earth in which he is forced to live among humans.
