Vernal Equinox 2010 : First Day Of Spring 2010
The vernal equinox – when winter modifications into spring – will occur at 1:32 p.m. EDT Saturday. At that moment, the sun will cross precisely more than the Earth’s equator. There is going to be equal amounts of day time and night time on this morning.
The nights will then grow longer each and every day time, reaching their limit around the summer solstice, June 21. The nights will then grow shorter, until the autumnal equinox on Sept. 22, when there will once again be equal elements of morning and night time.
An equinox occurs twice a year,in March and September — when the sun shines directly around the equator as well as the length of morning and night time are almost equal in all components from the globe
Equinoxes have been recognized for thousands of years. Easter is often around the very first Sunday right after the very first full moon following the spring equinox.
