Wes Leonard Dies After Winning Shot
A Michigan high school’s star basketball player collapsed around the court and later on died right after making a game-winning layup in overtime to cap his team’s excellent season. Wes Leonard of Fennville High died Thursday evening. Leonard died of an enlarged heart, according to the medical examiner.
Leonard, a junior who also excelled because the quarterback of the Blackhawks football team, was “by far the best player on that basketball team – outstanding athlete”
