World Cup 2010 : Kaka Red Card ‘Totally Unjustified’
Kaka was extremely unfortunate to obtain a 2nd yellow card this evening when Brazil beat the Ivory Coast 3-1. Kaka was offered the 2nd yellow following the referee thought he had elbowed the Ivory Coast player Keita, exactly where in actual truth the Brazilian did nothing incorrect. Keita went down holding his face for an eternity, and the referee, who wasn’t even looking at the incident, sent off Kaka.
“It was a totally unjustified dismissal of Kaka, he was fouled and yet he was punished. The player who commits the foul escapes the yellow card, I have to congratulate him for that,” said Dunga.
“We are left a bit in doubt, what do we have to do in order not to receive these yellow cards?
“We are not sure who will replace Kaka for the next game, we will think about it over the next few days.”
