World Cup 2010 : Mexico surprisingly beat France
Within the most surprising upset yet of the World Cup 2010 series, the Mexico vs France match ended in a 2-0 victory for Mexico. Nobody except possibly Mexico thought that they could win against the organized offense of France’s team. Nevertheless, they did in the record match, because this is the very first time ever that Mexico has beaten France.
Javier Hernadez and Cuauhtemoc Blanco created the two goals that won the game for Mexico, but it was their combined defensive effort that kept France scoreless.
In their following match, Mexico only needs to score a draw to be able to advance to the subsequent level; nevertheless France is virtually eliminated. Their only hope is if they beat South Africa AND if the Mexico vs. Uruguay match ends in their favor.

Mexico’s domination should come as no surprise. Just like with Italy in the “friendly”, Mexico outplayed France all game and the score is a clear result of a better team prevailing. It’s not that France played bad, it’s Mexico playing solid futbol. More to come……………Viva Mexico!
